A GEO checklist to make your site quotable by LLMs

This is the short GEO checklist we run on every SiteSonar site in the first 14 days. Ten items, no rebuild.

The checklist

  1. One H1 per page, phrased as the page's main answer.
  2. Question H2s on key pages.
  3. Answer-first leads under every section heading.
  4. FAQPage schema on pages with Q&A.
  5. HowTo schema on step-by-step content.
  6. Organization + WebSite schema sitewide.
  7. Article or BlogPosting schema on every blog post.
  8. llms.txt at the root, with your canonical pages.
  9. Brand name explicit in citable sentences.
  10. Internal links using descriptive anchor text.

How to verify

  • Ask the engine the question your page answers, look for your citation.
  • Validate schema in Google's Rich Results test.
  • Re-fetch llms.txt to confirm it is live and parseable.
